6th Annual Soup Luncheon

The 6th Annual Soup Luncheon was a huge success.  We had 14 different soups.   Over 120 people had lunch at the library and numerous to go orders were delivered.  Thank you to all who participated by cooking soup, working here today, eating lunch and ordering our soup.

Raw Deal Run


The Friends of the Carnegie Library participated in the annual Raw Deal Run for the first time.
Kathy Jones(vice president)and Nancy Snyder(Secretary) manned the table at the event. Negel OConnor (president) and Jacque Scott(librarian) completed the 3 mile walk.

Meeting of the South Central Federation of Libraries

Saturday March 24th, 2012

Today was the annual meeting at the Carnegie Public Library for the South Central Federation of Libraries. This meeting was facilitated by the coordinator of the SCF, library director Kate Lewis. It was a wonderful gathering of member librarians. Our new State Librarian Jennie Stapp was also in attendance. Training was provided by Suzanne Reymer and Tracy Cook. A fabulous lunch was provided by the Friends of the Carnegie Library.

Summer Reading Program Picnic

















We just wrapped up One World Many Stories and it was a great Reading Program. We had over 70 kids signed up and they read 717 books! We had a taco party picnic with a professional storyteller to close the program.
